1.5 hours: Composition and Oral Practices
1. Learning to write various types of sentences:
a. Continue writing sentences based on the picture prompt: This course trains your child to develop observation, thinking, imagination and expression skills. They will learn how to express their ideas based on the image’s meaning, develop their imagination, enrich sentences with words, and write well-written sentences in a creative way.
b. Write sentences based on various words: Your child will write sentences independently with vocabulary that they learn, to familiarise them with Chinese sentence structure and creating sentences.
c. Picture-based speaking and writing: Your child will exercise their imagination to write sentences and short essays based on pictures. They will learn to flow their ideas well, use rich and specific language, and describe pictures.
2. Improving Writing Skills
a. Learn adjectives, verbs, directional words etc.: They will be able to use adjectives to describe the weather and people, use verbs to express people’s actions, and use directional words to express places and positions.
b. Learn phrases: Your child will also learn to give more descriptions and clearly express the meaning of pictures.
3. Speaking
a. Develop your child’s speaking skills through describing pictures.
b. The teacher will demonstrate reading aloud to help them learn vocabulary and become fluent. They can then independently identify the topic and the content of the text, and read with emotions.
c. Develop your child’s speaking skills through giving topic-specific speeches. They will independently speak based on the topic, sentence, or phrase and help them to become more confident speakers.
1.5 hours: Comprehension and Language Application
1. Reading Comprehension
a. Laying a strong foundation for reading and comprehension: Using children’s rhymes and stories to teach your child to recognise words, gain basic understanding and read text with emotion.
b. Comprehension skills: Pinyin reading and writing, word recognition, word strokes, interpretation, and comprehension are means to lay a solid foundation for reading comprehension and later learning. It also trains your child’s ability to read aloud and silently, and learn to not only understand the content of the a passage, but also appreciate the emotions and messaged delivered.
2. Language use:
a. Word recognition: Use word cards and multimedia to review pinyin, characters, phrases, character strokes and word formation. Your child will also recognise words faster, understand the strokes of words and simple meanings, and be able to write, read, form words, and construct sentences.
b. Class exercise: The synchronised course classroom book consolidates the knowledge of words, strokes, pinyin, sentence structure etc. in the stories learned.
Primary 1 Reinforcement Course
1.5 hours: Enhancing Understanding
1. Reading comprehension: Focus on literacy, having a basic understanding of stories, and learning to read aloud with emotion.

This course focuses on developing students' communication and reading skills. Your child will develop a basic understanding of the text, understand its main points, and be able to fully answer questions.
2. Language use: Review words, conjunctions, word collocations, learn to read, write and construct sentences, and grasp classroom content through questions.
Homework: Book A and B which consolidates school textbook knowledge.
Dictation/exercise book: Focus on school textbooks and consolidates new vocabulary and phrases.
1.5 hours: Composition and Oral examination
1. Improving writing skills:
a. Learn nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and know that nouns are words about the names of things, verbs are words that express people's actions and behaviors, and adjectives are words that describe the shape and color of things.
b. Be able to write four-element sentences, learn sentences with the character "把" and "被", and learn the sentence patterns "while...while..." and "some...some...and some...". Learn words and onomatopoeia that mean "see".
c. Learn to express the feelings of the characters in picture description, and use the learned sentence patterns to describe the pictures in order.
d. Learn to write paragraphs and follow the sequence of causes, processes, and results. Write out what the characters in the picture think, say, and do, and use "first...then..." to write the story.
2. Oral Practices
Focusing on the conversation component: Retell, share and express your opinions.
Retell: Retell the teacher's questions and describe the main activities in the video.
Share: Learn to share an event in their life, fully describing the four elements of the event, and explaining details clearly.
Opinion: Learn to express opinions, exercise value judgements, and express opinions.
3. Learn to read short passages with emotion and articulate words correctly: Practising listening and learning to understand what the teacher says.
4. Composition examination: The focus is on cultivating basic expression skills and an interest in writing.
a. Master the writing format, learn to write stories based on pictures in order, and complete simple writing around simple themes (such as life experiences, imaginary scenarios, daily trivial matters, etc.), structured with 3 sentences in one paragraph.
b. Master basic sentence structure and use punctuation marks correctly (such as commas, periods, question marks, exclamation marks, etc.).
c. Learn to use the learned vocabulary to describe people, things, and objects, and write down the characters' feelings, language and thoughts, etc.
Primary 2 Reinforcement Course

1.5h Reading comprehension The teaching mainly focuses on building up your child’s reading and comprehension abilities. The core is to help them understand texts and simple essays and master basic reading methods.
1. Basic Reading Skills
a. Reading aloud and silently: Cultivate the ability to read fluently, read silently (without pointing or speaking out loud), and improve reading speed.
b. Word comprehension: Understand the meaning of words in context, such as inferring the meaning through synonyms, antonyms or context, and accumulate common vocabulary.
2. Contextual Understanding
a. Extract key information: Able to find the basic elements such as time, place, people, events (cause, process, result) clearly mentioned in the text.
b. Understanding sentences and paragraphs: Understand the main idea on the level of sentence, the paragraph, and be able to briefly summarise the main idea of the paragraph.
3. Simple analysis and reasoning
a. Understanding the author’s intention: Understand the main idea of the article, and the basic emotions the author aims to express (such as praise, love, and heartwarming).
b. Simple reasoning: Infer what is not directly stated based on the context, e.g. from the fact that he is ‘sweating profusely’ we can tell what he might have done just now."
4. Reading techniques and habits
a. Learning basic methods: For example, reading with intention, spotting key words while reading, and relating the content to real life.
b. Cultivating interest in reading: Through interesting short articles and stories, your child will be encouraged to read widely.
c. Dictation: Consists of excerpts from school textbooks and important vocabulary.
d. Homework Book A/B:
Book A: It focuses on words and characters, and the question types are the same as those in school exams.
Book B: Focus on understanding and application to help students answer reading comprehension questions.
P3 reading comprehension generally focuses more on reading and comprehension ability, laying the foundation for more complex analytical and appreciation skills as they progress to Upper Primary and beyond.
Primary 3 Reinforcement Course
1.5 hours: Comprehension
1. Improving Reading Comprehension: Read the article carefully, understand diction, analyse the paragraph structure, the theme and interpret details, and master the skills to answer questions.
2. Learning common question type: Explain words, summarise the meaning of the paragraph and main content, and summarise the central idea.
3. Oral practices: Learn polyphonic characters, pronounce them correctly, read the entire passage, read with intonation, and read the article with emotion.
1.5 hours: Composition
1. Master the skills of picture-based composition writing and develop the four skills: observation, thinking, imagination and expression.
2. Learn to divide paragraphs, learn the beginning and end, and the writing order, and write the content completely.
3. Master the skills of describing details, be able to use adjectives and verbs, and be able to use metaphors and personification to make the content specific and vivid.
4. Accumulate good words and sentences, and learn model essays.
5. Oral examination: Learn to retell pictures or videos, learn to narrate personal experiences, learn to express opinions and make suggestions.
Homework
Cooperate with the school, based on the textbooks, consolidate the foundation and improve grades.
Primary 4 Reinforcement Course
1.5 hours: Comprehension and Language Application
1. Comprehension skills are closely aligned with PSLE question types, training and cultivating students' habit of thinking while reading, improving their reading comprehension skills and mastering question-answering techniques. For example, students are taught how to grasp the main idea of a passage, the theme of a paragraph, and the author's intention; they learn to identify key sentences and relevant details in a passage, analyze character personalities and emotional developments, and cultivate logical thinking; they learn to organize their answers logically and structurally, using appropriate vocabulary and sentence structures; and they are encouraged to evaluate the viewpoints in the passage and express their own opinions.
2. In terms of Chinese language application, review classes are used to help students review the words in school textbooks, understand the meaning of words, and be able to use them flexibly in sentences and passages.
3. This course also includes "Homework Book A" and "Homework Book B” compiled by our center based on the school textbooks. After students complete the homework, the teacher will explain it to help students consolidate the knowledge learned in the textbook.
1.5 hours: Composition and Oral Practices
Composition: Students are taught how to write based on pictures, topic-based writing, situational writing and completed articles.
1. Picture-based essays: Train students to observe pictures carefully, understand the sequence of events, grasp the theme of the pictures, and use their imagination to infer the content of the question mark pictures.
2. Proposal writing: Train students' ability to review topics and select materials, let students learn to make outlines around the theme, determine the details and omissions, and write in an organized manner.
3. Situation-based composition: Students are trained to review questions and analyse situations, cultivate students to create stories based on situations, think about the behavior and psychology of characters in the story, and highlight the theme.
4. Starter-based composition: Train students to understand the content at the beginning, make ideal imaginations based on the content at the beginning, develop the plot, build the climax and ending, and highlight the theme.
Oral examination component, Includes readings and video sessions.
1. Reading: Students are trained to read short passages correctly and fluently, paying attention to stress, speaking speed, intonation, pauses, etc., and try to read with emotion.
2. Conversation: Students are guided to retell, share, express their opinions and make suggestions based on the theme of the video, improve their observation, thinking and expression abilities, and accumulate good words and sentences.
Primary 5 Reinforcement Course
1.5 hours: Comprehension and Oral Practices
1. Learn to write well for various essay types in the PSLE:
Picture-based composition: This program trains students' observation, thinking,
imagination, and expression skills. They learn how to grasp the main plot of the
story, write the first five pictures with appropriate details, and exercise
imagination to infer the content of the sixth picture, thus creating a
commemorative picture that is both reasonable and creative.
Proposition composition: Students learn to examine topics, select materials,
outline their writing, and determine the details. This helps students develop their
ability to analyze topics and select relevant writing materials from everyday life.
They also learn to write a composition in a specific order, centering around a
central theme, and with both details and omissions.
Situation-based composition: Learn to analyze, associate, imagine and create.
Write an article that fits the title and the given situation. Train students to be able
to review the topic, analyze the requirements of the situation, create a reasonable story based on the situation, and highlight the center.
Starter-based composition: Train students to develop their imagination based on
the given beginning and continue writing the composition, so that the connection
is seamless, the plot has ups and downs, and the central idea is prominent.
2. Improving writing skills
Learning adjectives and verbs, and be able to use adjectives to describe the
weather, character traits and appearance, and use verbs to describe the character's behavior in detail.
Learn to describe the language and psychological activities of characters.
Learn metaphors, personification and exaggeration to make your writing vivid and descriptive.
Learn proverbs, idioms, and idioms and use them in your writing.
3. Oral Practices:
a. Learn the three types of oral exam questions: retell, share, and express opinions or make suggestions.
-Retell: Grasp the main characters and key actions to retell the video content
-Share: Learn to fully describe an event in your life and use accurate words.
-Opinions: Learn to express opinions and explain them from both sides, and use narration to summarize.

-When learning polyphonic characters, strive to pronounce them accurately and read them aloud fluently. Learn pauses, stress, intonation, and speaking speed, and strive to read aloud with emotion.

Comprehensive review of the six levels of reading comprehension:Retelling, explanation, reorganisation, evaluation, idea expansion, and application.
Based past year papers, comment, point out errors, and provide corrections.
Learn 8 topics related to elementary school reading passages.
2. Language Use:
Review the vocabulary of grades 4 to 6, review and understand
the meaning of words, word collocation and sentence construction and complete
dictation.
Homework: Books A and B for revision and consolidation.
1.5 hours: Comprehension and Language Use
1. Reading Comprehension
Lay a solid foundation for reading and comprehension: understanding the text
structure and main content, and summarize the central idea of the article.
This course trains students to develop six levels of comprehension skills:
retelling, explaining, reorganizing, evaluating, developing, and applying through reviewing a great variety of questions from school and past year PSLE Chinese papers.
2. Language Use
Reviewing words, idioms, word collocations, and conjunctions, and be able to understand the meaning of words, be able to write, read, and construct
sentences, and learn to infer the meaning of words and understand the meaning
of words through context.
Homework: Books A and B for revision and consolidation.
Semester 1
Semester 2
